Free is the real product

Most apps in this category have a free tier that is a demo of the paid one: the useful part of the product is the part you pay for. Popcue is built the other way round, and this page says exactly where the line sits, including the two things no plan unlocks.

Prices checked 2026-09-30

What Popcue costs, in short

Popcue is free forever with no cap on connected paths from Notion, AnkiDroid, or your own MCP-compatible LLM endpoint. Free also includes five active AI-written paths, all eight card types, unlimited handwritten cards, streaks, earned freezes, rest days and the 26-week heatmap.

Pro is ₹149 a month or ₹999 a year, which is 44% off the monthly price. It exists to lift the AI-path cap and unlock the starter-deck library, and for instant streak recovery.

Neither plan is purchasable yet. Popcue is not on the Play Store, and there is no store listing or billing credential behind these prices, so nothing on this page takes a payment today. Join the waitlist to get the build before the public release.

Two plans

Both prices are plain text on this page, deliberately. There is no billing-period toggle to click, so there is no state in which the price you read depends on which button you last pressed, and there is nothing that renders differently for a crawler that never executes a line of script.

Free

₹0. Forever. Not a trial, and not the reduced version of the product.

  • Unlimited connected paths from Notion, AnkiDroid and your own MCP-compatible LLM endpoint (Todoist is coming soon)
  • 5 active AI-written paths
  • All 8 card types, plus unlimited handwritten cards
  • Streaks, earned freezes and rest days you schedule
  • The 26-week heatmap
  • Per-app ratios, and per-app and per-goal active hours
  • Everything on Android and on the web

Pro

₹149 a month, or ₹999 a year. The yearly price is 44% off the monthly one, which works out at about ₹83 a month billed yearly.

  • Unlimited AI-written paths, with no cap on active ones
  • The starter-deck library, previewable card by card before you adopt a deck
  • Instant streak recovery, with no ad to watch first
  • Everything in Free, including the unlimited connected paths
  • 7-day trial, with the terms shown before you subscribe

Why the connected paths are free

Serving a Notion page, an AnkiDroid deck or your own MCP endpoint costs Popcue essentially nothing. Those services are the ones doing the reading and the inference, on infrastructure we are not paying for and cannot see into.

So charging for them would be charging you for your own notes. If you already keep your material in Notion, Popcue is the interrupt layer over notes you wrote, and the only thing it adds is the moment. Charging for that moment would be a subscription on your own archive.

This is a product decision, not a promotional offer and not a trial that expires. It is the reason the connected paths are unlimited on every tier including Pro: lifting the AI-path cap does not touch them, because there is nothing to lift. What Pro charges for is the work we do, which is writing decks from a named topic.

What is in each tier

Swipe the table sideways

Every row is a feature, not a tier of the same feature. A tick means the tier has it. The last two rows are the ones where neither column says yes.
Feature Free Pro
Unlimited paths from Notion, AnkiDroid and your own LLM (Todoist is coming soon) Yes Yes
AI-written decks from a named topic Yes Yes
More than 5 active AI-written paths at once No Yes
The starter-deck library, previewable card by card No Yes
Instant streak recovery, no ad to watch first No Yes
All 8 card types, and unlimited handwritten cards Yes Yes
Streaks, earned freezes and scheduled rest days Yes Yes
The 26-week heatmap, with rest days shown as rest Yes Yes
Per-app ratios, and per-app and per-goal active hours Yes Yes
Blocks websites as well as apps No No
Runs on iOS No No

The last two rows are the ones where both columns say no, and they are in the table on purpose. A pricing table that omits what it cannot do is an advertisement, and the omissions are exactly where a reader is misled. Popcue does not block websites on any tier, and there is no iOS version on any tier. If website blocking is the thing you need, One Sec is currently the better tool for it.

What Pro costs, honestly

Pro is ₹149 a month, or ₹999 for a year billed once, which is 44% off paying monthly. It carries a 7-day trial. The app shows the price, the renewal terms and the length of the trial before you subscribe.

There is no annual-only tier, no currency conversion, no regional pricing table and no introductory rate that quietly becomes the standard one. Two prices, the same on every phone in every country.

None of it is purchasable today. Popcue is not on the Play Store, there is no store listing behind these prices, and there is no billing credential configured, so no checkout exists to complete. The prices on this page are the prices the launch will carry, not a live purchase. Join the waitlist to hear when it ships.

What no tier unlocks. No card type is locked behind Pro. There is no watermark on anything. Nothing about your streak, mastery or 26-week heatmap is held back to be shown to you in exchange for money. And there is no fee to get out: you can turn Popcue off from Settings, revoke both permissions, or uninstall it, and Popcue will never charge you a password-recovery fee to get back into your own phone.
