Account deletion

Delete your account and your data.

Two routes, one result. The in-app route is faster and needs no email thread. Both are the same deletion.

Before you delete, cancel your subscription. Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play or PayPal subscription. If you delete first, you will keep being charged for something you no longer have. Cancel in the Play Store or your PayPal account first.

1. In the app

  1. Open Popcue and go to the You tab.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap Delete account, then confirm.

That erases your account immediately. You do not need to email anyone and you do not need to wait for a reply.

2. Without the app

If you have lost access to your phone, or you want a written record of the request, use the form below. Send the email address you signed up with, and we will confirm and delete the matching account.

We confirm first rather than deleting on submission, because this form is public and an email address is not proof of anything. Anyone who learned your address could otherwise type it in and erase your account. So the request waits for a reply from you, which is the only thing that proves the address is yours.

Preview only. This build is not the published site, so nothing was submitted. On the live site this form reaches our server.

Prefer to just email? hello@popcue.online with the subject “Delete my Popcue account” and the email address you signed up with.

What gets deleted

Straight away, on either route:

  • Your account, goals, notes, cards, images and every rating you have given.
  • Your streak, milestones, freezes and rest days.
  • Your wrapped-app list, and the record of when you opened each one.
  • Every connected service, including stored Notion tokens and any assistant access key.
  • Your membership of any project, and your display name on other members' leaderboards.
  • Everything stored on your device: cached cards, queued reviews, scheduled reminders.

What we are required to keep

Two things survive, and we would rather say so here than have you find out later:

  • Billing records. Purchase and subscription records are kept for accounting and to handle refunds and disputes. They contain an account reference, not your goals, cards, or notes.
  • Shared project and referral records. The project itself, and the fact that you joined a referral, so that other members' earned points and an earned referral credit stay intact. Your own membership record and display name are removed.

The full retention table is in the Privacy Policy, section 7.
